Dance Performance
Annabel Targownik

A poignant and intimate exploration of body awareness and inherited insecurities. This vertically framed short dance performance unpacks the moment every woman—or AFAB person—discovers the "Dalaleh," the soft underside of the upper arm. Inspired by a personal memory of the artist dancing freely in her grandmother's living room, only to be stopped by a comment born of generational insecurity, the piece delves into how such moments shape our perceptions of our bodies and our movement through the world.

Performed by Shir Amsalem, and music by Reem Adler.

Part of UNHiNGED #5 "Flesh and Form" Released May 2025.
