Open Call for UNHiNGED Print #5: Flesh and Form
Our fifth issue, Flesh and Form, invites creators to explore the profound connection between the physical and the experiential. Our bodies are more than vessels carrying us through life—they are tools for expression, the means by which we interact with the world, and the first thing we notice in others and in the creatures around us.
This issue challenges artists to go beyond the limits of the human form. How do our physical selves shape our experiences, and how do we interpret the forms we encounter in the natural and built environments? From the raw and imperfect to the graceful and deliberate, the physical world offers endless possibilities for exploration.
Some prompts for creation: How do you use your body as a medium to connect with your surroundings? What does your form—your unique, physical reality—say about you and your experiences? How do you perceive the forms of others, both human and beyond? How does physicality define your interaction with the world?
As always, UNHiNGED challenges our community to think beyond boundaries while embracing art in all its forms. For this issue, we provide a welcoming space to interpret the body’s language and experience, wherever and however you find it.
